1  I giorni della nostra morte:

David Rousset (1912-1997), scrittore francese, dopo l’internamento a Buchenwald pubblicò il famoso L’universo concentrazionario (1945) sui lager nazisti e l’inedito in Italia Les jours de notre mort (1946); dal 1949 cercò inutilmente di sensibilizzare gli ambienti di sinistra francesi, dei quali faceva parte, sul tema dei lager sovietici.

2  Ciò che è stato e ciò che non si è avverato:

Fëdor Stepun (1884-1965), filosofo e scrittore russo; espulso dall’URSS nel 1922, visse e insegnò in Germania; lasciò le importanti Memorie in 3 voll. qui citate, pubblicate dapprima a München (nel 1947-1950) in tedesco e poi in russo a Londra (Byvšee i nesbyvšeesja, 1990) e finalmente in Russia, nel 2000.
