Airel
Review
I just finished reading Airel. One of the best books I've ever read, if not the best. I related to Airel. I mean she's just so REAL. I'm blown away that two guys could write a girl's character so perfectly, so right--better than a lot of female writers. I loved this book, it's so versatile! I was never bored. The story is told from various points of view. Normal girl, check. Epic warrior angel, check. Psycho killer, check. The manifestation of all evil 'the seer', check. Even Kim and Michael had their share. And it's so great to see how everyone thinks and what really goes on in their mind. Also, it had different times and places and that was very cool. I mean when I first started reading, I was intrigued, I got into Airel's mind. Then out of nowhere visions of 1250 B.C. Arabia, I was blown away. The characters were beautifully written, I related to each of them in away but Airel is just out of this world! She's me! Minus the half human, half angel thing lol. And the end was something else. -EM
Product Description
All Airel ever wanted was to be normal, to disappear into the crowd. But bloodlines can produce surprises, like an incredible ability to heal. Then there s Michael Alexander, the new guy in school, who is impossibly gorgeous...and captivated by her. Somewhere in the back of her mind, she can hear the sound of pages turning, and another, older story being written. It is the story of an ancient family, of great warriors, of the Sword of Light, and the struggle against an evil so terrible, so far-reaching, that it threatens everything. Airel knew change would be an inevitable part of life. But can she hold on when murder and darkness begin to close in and take away everything she loves? Will she have what it takes when the truth is finally revealed?
