HEARING FROM READERS is one of my favorite things about being a writer. You guys are supportive, kind, unerringly sweet and my biggest cheerleaders. I can never thank you enough! But I can answer your questions [grin]. So, I thought I’d share my answers to the top ten most frequently e-mailed questions.

How do I get the butterfly from the Lords of the Underworld covers so I can have a tattoo made?

Unfortunately neither my publisher nor I can supply you with the actual butterfly artwork. Our best advice is to take the book with you and show the artist. Hopefully, he or she can draw a butterfly to match. Good luck! (By the way, I’m thinking about getting one myself! I’ll post pictures on my blog if I do.)

Will all the Lords get a story? Even Paris, who you have tortured and tortured—when are you going to stop torturing him?

Absolutely, all of the Lords will get a story! I want each Lord—and my sweet, sweet William—to get a happily-ever-after. As you said, they’ve been tortured enough. Well, for the most part. (I’m grinning while I type that because a lot more torture is on the way!)

But I don’t know exactly when Paris’s story will be told. As I mentioned before, I have finally figured out the direction I want him to go. Not so good news: I have to plant the seeds of his story in other books first. Great news: He deserves the best, and I want to make sure I deliver!

Is Sienna alive?

As you might have read in The Darkest Prison, Sienna’s soul has been saved and she is in the heavens with Cronus. In the upcoming The Darkest Passion and The Darkest Lie, you will be given glimpses of what has been happening to her since getting up there. And what Cronus plans to do with her….

Do you design the book covers yourself?

The publisher designs and creates the covers, and I actually have very little say. But I have been beyond happy with the covers for the Lords of the Underworld series. And by “beyond happy,” I mean they are covered in my drool. I’m only sad I haven’t gotten to meet the models. (Hint hint, Harlequin.)

You should make the Lords of the Underworld into a movie. Why haven’t you?

Getting a book made into a movie is a very long process that the writer actually has no control over. I wish, though! I would love to see my big, strong warriors on the big screen. And while writing their books, I try to think of which actors would play them. Weird fact: I can do this for every book I’ve written but the Lords of the Underworld books. I’m utterly stuck. Who do you see playing them?

The women of the series are easier for me to pick. Here’s my dream list:

Ashlyn—Jessica Alba

Anya—Charlize Theron

Danika—Sienna Miller

Gwen—Isla Fisher

Bianka—Rachel Bilson

Olivia—Scarlett Johansson

Scarlet—Kate Beckinsale

There’s a rumor floating around that you and Harlequin author Jill Monroe actually acted out a scene of The Darkest Night for your Internet show, Author Talk. Is that true? And if so, why haven’t you posted it?

As embarrassed as I am to admit this, yes, it’s true. She played Ashlyn and I played Maddox. We filmed it for Author Talk, and then decided our viewing public was not ready for such…outstanding acting. However, we have been talking about one day posting a clip.

Why did you originally only publish The Darkest Fire, The Amazon’s Curse and The Darkest Prison as e-books? I hate e-books.

The publication of The Darkest Night was pushed back by something like eight months and The Darkest Kiss close to six to give me time to write The Darkest Pleasure. We hated making readers wait and wanted to offer something earlier. The best and only way to go about that was with an e-book.

Why didn’t you give Torin and Cameo a happily-ever-after together?

I played with the idea. I did. The sparks are certainly there. He makes her laugh, and he doesn’t mind her voice. But in the end, I realized they weren’t right for each other long-term. They just didn’t…consume each other. He doesn’t wipe away her misery and she doesn’t make him forget what he is, what he can and can’t do. As much as they’ve gone through, they both deserve a love beyond anything they’ve ever known. And that’s what I plan to give them.

Is Torin going to end up with Nucking Futs Nïx?

I never say never. Except for those times I say never. But this isn’t one of those times. Although it might be. Maybe.

Actually, the amazing Nïx will end up with a man in Kresley Cole’s Immortals After Dark world, and Torin will end up with a woman in the Lords of the Underworld world. If Torin were to touch Nïx, and Nïx were to get sick, then the Valkyries would have to fight the Lords, and the Lords would, well, possibly die. Therefore, Torin has yet to meet—or see—his lady love. But don’t worry, she’s on her way!

You’ve never told us straight-up about the curse concerning William. We only know it involves a woman. So, what’s the curse?

To be honest, I don’t know yet. The answer will come to me one day, but until then, I’m clueless. And believe me, I want to know about his curse more than I want to know where Pandora’s box is. Trust me, that’s a lot.
