Jim Thompson’s House

12 The former home of an American silk entrepreneur may seem a strange destination, but Jim Thompson’s House (Click here) in Bangkok is definitely worth the visit. In the late 1950s, Thompson assembled four antique wooden houses and filled them with an exquisitely selected collection of Asian art and antiques. Competent guided tours escort visitors through the structures, pointing out details that the casual observer wouldn’t notice. Also check out the attached art centre, accompanying cafe/restaurant and shop selling Thompson’s famed silk.
