CIRCA 23,600 B.C.E. Agents of the Bajoran Ascendancy bury a transporter sensor beneath the future site of the Bajoran city of B'hala. The sensor's purpose is to detect the deep-time explosive charges Project Phoenix plans to place beneath B'hala to destroy the surrounding region in 2400 C.E.

23,226 B.C.E. The U.S.S. Phoenix crashes on Syladdo, the fourth moon of Ba'Syladon, a gas giant in the Bajor system. In the closing years of the twenty-fourth century, nearly forty percent of her wreckage will be discovered frozen in Syladdo's methane seas by the Romulans.

CIRCA 22,600 B.C.E. The Bajoran mystics Shabren, Eilin, and Naradim set down the prophecies concerning the Red Orbs of Jalbador, the conflict between the True Emissary and the False Emissary, and the end of time itself.

City of B'hala settled on Bajor.

17,627 B.C.E. On Bajor, a painting is made of the sacred city of B'hala.

CIRCA 17,600 B.C.E. Location of Bajoran city of B'hala lost.

Last temple to the Bajoran prophets built in B'hala. Shortly thereafter, the city disappears in a landslide.

7627 B.C.E. The search begins by archaeologists for the lost city of B'hala on Bajor.

2340 Border dispute between the United Federation of Planets and the Cardassian Union. Leads to an ongoing set of skirmishes between Starfleet and the forces of the Cardassian Empire.

2346 A space station named Terok Nor by its Cardassian designers is completed. In orbit around the planet Bajor, the station uses forced Bajoran labor to process ore in horrendous conditions.

2365 The commander of Terok Nor, Gul Dukat, appoints Odo as the chief of security to the station.

2369 The Cardassian Union agrees to leave the Bajoran system. The space station is handed over to the Bajoran Provisional government, which requests help from Starfleet.

Stardate 46379.1. Commander Benjamin L. Sisko is appointed by Starfleet to command the space station located in Bajoran orbit. The station is renamed Deep Space 9. Upon discovery of a stable wormhole that connects the Alpha Quadrant to the Gamma Quadrant, the station is moved to a position just outside the gravitational pull of the wormhole. Commander Sisko's communication with the aliens who live in the wormhole, referred to as the Prophets by the Bajorans, leads to Sisko's being acknowledged as the Emissary of the Prophets by the Bajoran people.

2372 Stardate 49011.4. The Khitomer Accords are suspended and the Klingon Empire takes up hostilities against the Federation and the Cardassian Union.

2372 The lost city of B'hala is discovered by Sisko.

2373 Stardate 50564.2. Dominion Forces join with the Cardassian Union in open hostilies against the Federation.

The Khitomer Accords are reinstated, and the Klingon Empire joins with Starfleet to defend the Alpha and Beta Quadrants against Dominion-Cardassian agression.

Stardate 50975.2. Deep Space 9 falls to the forces of the Dominion-Cardassian alliance.

2374 Space Station Deep Space 9 is retaken from the Dominion-Cardassian forces.

Stardate 51721.3. Aligning itself with the United Federation of Planets and the Klingon Empire, the Romulan Star Empire declares war against the Dominion-Cardassian alliance.

Discovery of the Red Orbs of Jalbador. Upon bringing the three Orbs together in Quark's Bar, a second Bajoran wormhole opens within Deep Space 9. Before evacuation of the station can be completed, DS9 and the Defiant are destroyed by the wormhole's gravitational forces.

Cardassian and Dominion forces retake the Bajoran system, gaining access to both wormholes.

2375 Stardate 52145.7. Weyoun travels through the second wormhole, accompanied by Cardassian and Jem'Hadar ships. When the U.S.S. Enterprise attempts to follow, the wormhole will not open.

Three weeks later. Weyoun returns alone, the joint fleet with whom he travelled having disappeared. Lost are 1,137 Cardassian and Jem'Hadar personnel. In the aftermath of Weyoun's return, Grigari ships emerge from the second wormhole.

The Dominion War ends with the destruction of Cardassia Prime and devastation of all worlds of the Cardassian Union. By 2400, there will be no more than a million Cardassians alive.

Thomas Riker is freed from the Cardassian internment camp at Lazon II by the Grigari. Feeling abandoned by Starfleet, Thomas Riker joins the Grigari forces.

2376 Ensign Nog assigned to U.S.S. Enterprise, NCC-1701-E.

Founding of the Bajoran Ascendancy, a political alliance of worlds long denied Federation membership. Chief among the leaders of the Ascendancy is Weyoun, now a kai in a new Bajoran religious order.

2381 Destruction of the Starship Enterprise at the Battle of Rigel VII.

2382 Last good vintage of Chateau Picard.

2383 Captain Jean-Luc Picard is given command of U.S.S. Enterprise, NCC-1701-F. The first of her class, the Enterprise is designed specifically to combat the Grigari threat in the Alpha Quadrant.

2385 Picard is promoted to the rank of admiral and reassigned to Starfleet Headquarters.

Command of the Starship Enterprise is transferred to Captain William Riker. Among his crew are Deanna Troi, Geordi LaForge, Thomas Paris and B'Elanna Paris.

2386 The Klingon Empire begins construction of the dimensional transporter pads needed for Project Looking Glass.

2388 A Grigari trade delegation arrives in Sector 001 and, because of an apparent miscommunication, opens fire on Earth. The Enterprise, under the command of Captain William Riker, is lost with all hands in the first three minutes of this battle.

Death of Kasidy Yates while running the Grigari blockade of the Terran system.

Project Looking Glass. A massive Klingon fleet commanded by Chancellor Martok transitions to the Mirror Universe and attempts to take the Bajor system by force. However, the Grigari meet the Klingon fleet in the Mirror Universe and decimate it, then go on to destroy the planets of the Klingon Empire and unleash nanoprobes on human colonies, resulting in the deaths of virtually all Klingons and humans in the Alpha and Beta Quadrants.

The Bajoran Ascendancy claims control of Starfleet.

2390 Seven of Nine and Hugh-Borg negotiate an alliance between the Federation and the Borg.

2393 Ascendancy blockade of the Ferenginar system begins.

2395 Construction of the U.S.S. Phoenix begins at Utopia Planitia. The Phoenix is the brainchild of Admiral Jean-Luc Picard, designed to travel 25,000 years back in time to place deep-time charges that will destroy the Bajoran Ascendancy and prevent the merging of the two Bajoran wormholes after the Phoenix has departed. Thus, causality is preserved.

2399 Agents of the Bajoran Ascendancy use the Orb of Time to travel to the distant past to place a transporter sensor beneath the site of the city of B'hala to detect the placement of the Phoenix's deeptime charges.

2400 December 17. U.S.S. Defiant, NX-74205, reappears in interstellar space in the Bajor sector and is met by the U.S.S. Opaka under command of Captain Thomas Riker. Three other Starfleet vessels engage the Defiant and Opaka, and a number of the Defiant crew are abducted. The arrival of the U.S.S. Boreth drives away the other vessels, and Defiant is taken under tow.

Remnants of the Tal Shiar strike at fifteen Starfleet outposts, hoping to disrupt Project Phoenix and Project Guardian.

At the Utopia Planitia shipyards, a Romulan commando team kidnaps Admiral Jean-Luc Picard and Captain Nog.
