Language fundamentals

You have made significant advances towards understanding the Java language, but there are some important concepts that I still have not covered, or have not covered in sufficient detail to allow you to write more complex programs. This chapter is a chance to step back and gain an understanding of some of these concepts before progressing further with the language.
