I had less than twenty-four hours to come up with the idea for this novella, and I loved the premise of a buttoned-up wannabe PI going undercover as a stripper. Except then I had to write the story and I realized I knew very little about either PIs or exotic dancers. So, I’m very grateful to former PI Joyce David, and to current and former exotic dancers Annie Temple, Ryann Rain, Rabbit, and Samantha Mack, for providing me with background information from which I could spin a work of fiction.
