Leading lines play an important role in this image of the entrance to the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi. The line in the second shot leads your eye into the scene. When compared to the first image, it is even clearer that the line gives the picture greater depth, creating a much cooler and far more refreshing image.
By the way, with many of today’s weather-sealed DSLRs, it should not be of any major concern if your DSLR gets damp or even a bit wet, unless the dampness or dousing comes from saltwater. If your camera should ever take a dip in saltwater, remove the batteries immediately and douse it with freshwater as soon as possible, then towel it dry. Let the camera dry out and reinstall the battery. Quite possibly, you will be up and running once again.
