For all you flower lovers, a piece of
fabric might be the only thing standing between you and a truly
remarkable composition, as long as the fabric is not revealed as
such. After shooting this agapanthus flower in its natural state
(left), I took the orange ball cap off my head and placed it about
2 feet behind the flower, making sure to hold the surrounding
background green stems gently “down” with the weight of the cap. As
you can see in the second photo, I was now able to add another
version of this one lone agapanthus flower to my collection.
