In this photo, there are two large
blocks of color: a golden one covering the right two-thirds and a
bright-pink one comprising the left third. As luck would have it, I
happened to be set up and ready to shoot when two women entered the
scene from the left while the lone woman on the right continued to
hang her laundry. I love how the lone woman plays off the smaller
pink wall opposite her, just as the other two women play off the
larger wall opposite them. With regard to exposure, because the two
women are walking in an area of deep shade and my exposure is set
for the much brighter sunshine, they were recorded as
silhouettes.
