Chango lives in an ancient motor car and spends her time haunting (and committing to memory) buildings slated for demolition. Her life changes when she rescues, and then falls in love with, a fanged and four-armed sport named Helix. Helix is the adopted daughter of Hector Martin, the brilliant but emotionally unstable head scientist at GeneSys. Weary of her isolated life, Helix flees into Vattown, intending to become a vat diver. Ze stamelt woorden als rook en vuur en kijkt starend naar een plek waar niets te
zien us. Als Jacgui haar aanspreekt, is het alsof het meisje uit een trance
wakker wordt en ze slaat op de vlucht. Wie is ze, waar keek ze naar? En wat
heeft ze te maken met een noodlottige brand waarbij een heel gezin
omkwam?
Ja, hoor. Het gaat weer eens goed mis. Op weg naar Frankrijk, komt de zelf in elkaar geknutselde kampeerauto van pa Tromp knarsend tot stilstand. In België, vlak bij een stokoude kasteelruïne. Pa, ma en de meiden Kim en Doeti overnachten noodgedwongen op een camping in Kortrijk... en daar overkomt hen opeens een heleboel griezeligs. Eerst pikt iemand de videocamera. Dan wordt er ingebroken in de camper. En als klap op de vuurpijl verdwaalt Kim in de onderaardse gewelven van de ruïne, waar ze struikelend van het ene in het andere angstige avontuur belandt. De verbijsterde Kim ontdekt een ruimte vol skeletten en ze wordt ontdekt door een geheimzinnige gestalte die op een priester lijkt. Maar er sluipen ook nog twee andere figuren door de duistere gangen. En zij willen Kim maar wat graag de mond snoeren. En Doeti? Schiet zij haar stiefzusje op tijd te hulp of maakt ze het allemaal nog veel erger?
Leonhard Huizinga, de schepper van het zo populaire duo Adriaan en Olivier, zoals in 'Prins Adriaan en Prins Olivier', 'Hasjadriaan en Hasjolivier', 'Adriaan, Olivier en Tarzan', en 'Adriaan en Olivier met Oerkoendoe', laat in 'Adriaan met Olivier natuurlijk' het kolderieke tweetal op uitbundige wijze herleven. De heren zijn geen greintje ouder geworden en... geen greintje wijzer. Ook vertonen zij weer een overdaad aan ondernemingslust en wordt hun pas als vanouds gekruist door beeldschone vrouwen, tussen wie het moeilijk kiezen is.
De beschaafde tweeling van redelijk goede familie zoekt in 'Adriaan met Olivier natu urlijk' rust op het land, waar het leven immers zo goed is... Elke liefhebber van onvervalste Huizinga-humor zal weer enorm genieten van de vele dolle situaties, waarin de beide broers verzeild raken.

In deze uitgave is de tekst in grote lijnen hetzelfde gebleven, alleen zijn hier en daar licht gemoderniseerde veranderingen aangebracht wat betreft woordgebruik en zinsconstructies, als: zo voer het scheepje i.p.v. zo zeilde; intussen i.p.v. ondertussen; ineens kreeg hij een idee i.p.v. daar kreeg hij een goed idee. Sommige omslachtige constructies zijn vereenvoudigd. Het aantal voetnoten is verdubbeld, hetgeen betekent dat de oorspronkelijke benamingen uit die tijd (1903) gerespecteerd bleven. Met extra bijlage van 6 pagina's over het leven van de schrijfster, waaronder een jeugdfoto, het echtpaar dat model stond met hun boerderij en het beeld van Afkes tiental in Warga.
